Creating real social impact isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about understanding and responding to actual needs. The Erasmus+ project Perspective shows how even simple adjustments for neurodiverse individuals—like clear instructions, flexible schedules, or quiet spaces—can dramatically improve experiences in education and workplaces.
But here’s the catch: these changes might look easy on paper, yet without awareness, guidance, and structured support, nothing will happen. Perspective demonstrates that effective inclusion requires a clear methodology: start by listening closely to individuals’ experiences, map their real needs, co-create solutions with them, and implement changes in a way that everyone involved understands and supports.
For social impact projects, this approach is crucial. It’s not enough to provide access or generic accommodations. The process matters: observation, dialogue, iterative testing, and reflection turn good intentions into measurable impact. By following this methodology, Perspective bridges gaps between neurodiverse individuals and workplaces, ensuring that interventions actually make a difference, rather than remaining theoretical ideas.
Project managers can learn from this: social impact depends on structured engagement with real users, iterative design, and building awareness across all stakeholders. It’s how small changes become sustainable and meaningful improvements in people’s lives.
